35.5% Of Us Are Family

Posted on 13 February 2011 by rocklanders

So just who is really suporting the economy? The answer is, shockingly, not many of us.

145.8 million Americans work out of total population of 307 million and 20% of the workers earn below the poverty level. Now hold on, 2.15 million are actually on the federal government payroll so the employed drops to 143.65 million. But wait! There are over 5.3 million State and local employees so we are down to 138.3 million workers. Now hold on again, remember 20% of the workers are below poverty level and do not contribute taxes even though they reduce our tax burden we still pay them more in assistance than they contibute so we are down to 109.1 million workers.

Are you getting kind of lonely now? You should be lonely because only 35.5% of us are now working and contributing.

So isn’t the actual unemployment 64.5%?

The government says unemployment is at 9% but really it’s 64.5% plus a little

To be quite honest with everyone it is upsetting that this country is so concerned with what is politically correct when they should be concerned with the huge debt that we will be leaving to our children.

Our government should not be messing with the rights of working people but the real cuts should be for the non-working people. This countries single biggest expense is social services, ie welfare and medicare for many family that have never worked. Initially when these program were started it was meant to gap between the ability to find work and today it is a way of life.

By cutting this completely out of the budget we would find a surplus instead of being in the whole and no longer can our people live their life on the working public since we all would become working.

Hard choices mean hard decisions and we need to make the hard decisions if this country is going to be great again. I would also suggest that if a person has not worked for more than a year unless they are retired of course then they should not be able to vote on anything that effects working people. Think about it as it is now the majority of this country does not work, ever wander why these social programs continue.

Another way to cut the debt is eliminate the IRS and instead charge a use tax on everything you buy except food, but everything else. This way would make everyone pay taxes for schools and everything else, then eliminate the property tax. Honestly this is the only fair way to tax as everyone pays not just the people who work and own property. If you want that extra items then you are going to have to pay for it.

As things are now we are creating a lazy society that at some point is going to have to start being productive or this country of our is going to head south.
